Magnetotransport, thermophysical and magnetocaloric properties of manganite La-=SUB=-0.8-=/SUB=-Ag-=SUB=-0.1-=/SUB=-MnO-=SUB=-3-=/SUB=- in magnetic fields up to 8 T

The electrical resistance, heat capacity, thermal conductivity, conductivity and magnetocaloric effect of the polycrystalline sample La 0.8 Ag 0.1 MnO 3 were measured in temperature range 77-350 K magnetic fields up to 8 T. It is shown that resistance paramagnetic phase can be explained within framework concept small-radius polarons with an activation energy E P =119 meV, behavior low-temperature ferromagnetic suggests existence several scattering mechanisms. observed large magnitude magnetoresistive at low temperatures by intergranular tunneling conduction electrons. An anomalous abrupt change lattice capacity during ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition was detected. increase below Curie T C associated phonons local Jahn-Teller distortions, which weaken phase. a field reaches value Delta ad =4 K, efficiency cooling same 261.6 J/kg.
